On review of the existing course curriculum the
group agreed that MBT may be highlighted in the various under graduate and post
graduate curriculums.
Plans developed:
It was agreed that most of the basic concepts
related to biotechnology is covered by the syllabus under microbiology,
pathology, biochemistry, forensic medicine…. It is felt that the chapters
relevant to Biotechnology (BT) should be given more importance. Institutional
(specially laboratory) support is essential component for practical
demonstration of biotechnological techniques.
